Cartha, nicknamed Chaser, was a male Human pilot who served in Black Squadron of the Galactic Empire during the First Galactic Civil War.

Biography

A Human male, Cartha was the son of Count Phennir, and the elder step-brother of Turr Phennir. Before the First Galactic Civil War, Cartha joined the Galactic Empire, serving as a TIE Pilot in Black Eight Squadron under the command of Juno Eclipse, where he acquired the callsign "Chaser"." Cartha was nominated by Eclipse as her successor to the command of Black Squadron, but was over looked in favor of Redline, who was noted to be a callous, if not outright psychopathic leader. After Juno had deserted the Empire and joined the Rebel Alliance during the start of the war, Chaser remained with Black Squadron, flying in fourth place. In 0 BBY, Cartha was part of an elite 61st Squadron at the Battle of Yavin. It was when the Rebel Alliance sent Red Squadron to destroy the Death Star. Cartha tried to defend the Death Star, but was shot down and killed by Rebel pilot Wedge Antilles.
