  • Good luck Han Solo. We'll have you flying in no time.—Drawd Mundrin to Han Solo[src]

Drawd Mundrin was a human male recruitment officer that served as a chief during the Galactic Empire's reign of terror. An old friend to Jonash Solo of House Solo, he had been going on a manhunt for Jonash's son. By 13 BBY, Mundrin was stationed in Coronet Spaceport where he encountered the smuggler Han Solo.

Born on Corellia, Drawd Mundrin was a good friend to Jonash Solo, a member of House Solo and a descendant of Berethron e Solo, a King who introduced democracy to the system. He was present at the time when his friend's wife gave birth to a son, who they named the child Han. At some point when the Clone Wars began, Drawd was devastated to learn of Jonash's death and had been searching for his friend's child during the war, but was never lucky. After the Clone Wars ended which led to the formation of the Galactic Empire, Mundrin served as a chief recruitment officer of the Galactic Empire. His work consisted in enroll the recruits who desired to join the Imperial Academy on his home planet.

In 13 BBY, Mundrin was stationed in Coronet Spaceport enrolling the potential recruits for the Empire. One day, a young boy appeared and talked with him as he was interested in joining the Empire and becoming the best pilot in the galaxy. When the young man said his first name Han, Mundrin began to suspect and believe that the boy was in fact Jonash's lost child. When he asked Han for his surname, Han kept his surname secret since he didn't want to expose himself, so instead, he lied that he did not have one and indicated he was all alone. Mundrin wasn't fooled and came to the point that Han was truly Jonash's son. Rather than giving a different surname, he assigned Han Solo to the Imperial Navy as a flight cadet. After Solo left to join the navy, Mundrin hoped that one day he would tell him the truth of who he was if he ever sees him.
