Falto Dragen was a Human male stormtrooper officer who served the First Galactic Empire during the First Galactic Civil War. Originally from Alderaan, Falto served in the ranks of the Stormtrooper Corps. However, after his planet was destroyed by the Death Star under the orders of Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, Falto defected and joined the Rebel Alliance when he discovered what happened and saw how evil the Empire was. He served as spy for the Alliance and remained within the ranks of the Stormtrooper Corps, delivering secret Imperial information to the rebels. In 3 ABY, Falto participated in the occupation of Cloud City and revealed his allegiance in aiding the Bespin Wing Guard in defending the city, but was killed in the attack.
Biography[]
A Human male from the world of Alderaan, Falto Dragen pledged his loyalty to the First Galactic Empire and served in the Stormtrooper Corps. Originally based as a lieutenant in 0 BBY, Falto Dragen a garrison on the Outer Rim world of Kwevron, Dragen uncovered a rebel cell. He and his troops killed the Rebel Idu Taanfaar and captured Nuuk Kuur, but failed to capture Cala Worner, a recruiter for the Alliance. Cala and a group of previously uncommitted bystanders rescued Nuuk, beginning what would become a personal vendetta for the officer. Later the same year, simultaneously with the arrival of the first Death Star in the Alderaan System, he and his unit were transferred to Daroon, where he failed to arrest Alku Vordu, a senator sympathetic to the Rebellion. After the destruction of his planet, Dragen joined the Rebel Alliance like millions of offworlders and Imperials that were formerly loyal to the Empire.
After joining the Rebellion, Falto visited the Graveyard to leave personal effects in memory of his family while the rest lived offworld and carried their family tradition within the Alliance. Falto expressed his deepest regret in serving an Empire that was declared to be tyrannical. As Imperial storm commandos observed him and confirmed his reliability, Falto was one of those that served as spies for the Rebellion. In 3 ABY, Falto participated in the occupation of Cloud City when the Empire, under the command of Darth Vader, gained control of the planet while hunting a band of rebels and luring Luke Skywalker into a trap. After the rebels managed to escape, Falto was forced to reveal his true colors and aided the Bespin Wing Guard in driving the Imperial forces out of the planet. However, Dragen was killed in the firefight and the Empire gained control of the entire city, as well as Bespin.
