Melik Galerha was a Human male Jedi Knight who served the Old Jedi Order during the Clone Wars, the Old Galactic Republic's conflict with the Separatist Alliance. During the war, Galerha attended meetings in the briefing room at the Jedi Temple on the galactic capital Coruscant. In 19 BBY, Galerha, alongside fellow Jedi, Koffi Arana, Olana Chion, Jurokk, Ma'kis'shaalas, J'oopi Shé and Shadday Potkin, attended a meeting in the Jedi briefing room regarding the Republic's siege of the Outer Rim. The meeting was presented by Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi shortly before the Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine initiated Order 66, which caused most clone troopers to eliminate their Jedi Generals. Melik was slain by Darth Vader, who had led the 501st Legion to eliminate all the Jedi in the temple, resulting the beginning of the Great Jedi Purge.
Biography[]
Born in the era of the Old Galactic Republic, visibly before the tumultuous tenure of Supreme Chancellor Finis Valorum, Melik was brought from a young age at the Jedi Temple to study the subtle currents of the Force. His skills enabled him to succeed his trials and eventually enter the title of Jedi Knight. When the bloody Clone Wars broke out across the galaxy, Melik was called to join the ranks of the Grand Army of the Republic and become General. Because of scarce official information available about it, yet it is unfortunately impossible to determine to date a list of the missions in which he participated.
Nevertheless, shortly after the battle of Coruscant, the young man attended a briefing where Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi regarding the Republic's siege of the Outer Rim. Like Shadday Potkin and Ma'Kis'Shaalas, he learned especially on this occasion that the Kiffar Quinlan Vos, the Twi'lek Aayla Secura, the Whipid K'Kruhk, Devaronian Sian Jeisel and A'Sharad Hett had managed to push the Separatist forces on the planet Saleucami. However, while he was still inside the Temple for a few days, Melik was slain by the Sith Apprentice Anakin Skywalker, who had recently became Darth Vader and was responsible for leading the 501st Legion to lay waste on the temple and destroy all the Jedi during Order 66 and the beginning of the Second Jedi Purge.
