There's no sign of a camp, sir. Some broken branches at knee height and crushed grass from troops firing prone, but I honestly can't tell how many men we're dealing with."
"You can't tell much, can you, Lieutenant?
—Cuvin and Ghez Hokan[src]

Pir Cuvin was a Male Umbaran who served as the first officer of Ghez Hokan and his mercenary force that were tasked to protect a secret Qiilura facility that belonged to the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars. Cuvin wasn't considered to be a bad officer, but he did not meet the requirements of Mandalorians. He was replaced by Hurati when he deserted Hokan's force and was quietly executed for his defiance.

BiographyEdit

A male Umbaran from the world of Umbara, Pir Cuvin joined the Separatist Alliance since he stood against the Old Galactic Republic for its corruption. In 22 BBY, Pir Cuvin was promoted to lieutenant and served under Ghez Hokan, a Mandalorian mercenary who operated on the planet Qiilura. He was with Hokan when they investigated a battle droid contingent that had been destroyed by clone commandos, and also when they took over the villa of Lik Ankkit, the local Neimoidian leader.

However, later on, while burning some farm fields to give the the Republic commandos an incorrect view of their intentions, Hokan became annoyed when Cuvin did not see the true purpose of their actions. He told Second Lieutenant Hurati to keep an eye on him. As a result, the Umbaran lieutenant "didn't make captain" and at some point he disappeared from his post, which was presumed by Hokan to be a desertion. The Mandalorian ordered his troops to kill Cuvin on sight; when the Umbaran was found. Eventually, Cuvin was found and quickly executed for defiance, and Hurati was promoted to take his place.
