|Chronological and Political Information|
Theron Nett was a Human male pilot from Ord Mantell, serving in the Rebel Alliance to stand against the Galactic Empire during the early years of the First Galactic Civil War. During the Battle of Yavin IV, he flew as Red Ten and was killed when a TIE Fighter pilot shot down his X-wing while he was attempting to cover Red Leader down the Death Star's trench.
A Human male from the world of Ord Mantell, Theron left his family and became a known smuggler. However, in 2 BBY, Theron survived his years as a smuggler and decided to join the Rebel Alliance after the death of Galen Marek, who gave his life to save the founders of the rebellion. Hoping to beat the Empire for all that has done to the galaxy, Theron proved his worth in becoming a talented pilot in the Rebel Alliance Starfighter Corps. Throughout the First Galactic Civil War against the Empire, Theron went on typical missions, and became the wingman of Red Nine alongside his close friend Lieutenant Nozzo Naytaan.
Later in 0 BBY, which followed the destruction of Alderaan, Theron arrived on Yavin IV and attended a briefing by General Jan Dodonna. Once the Death Star arrived in the system, Theron and the Rebels believed they had found a weakness in the battlestation. Plans provided by Leia Organa after her rescue from Imperial capture had revealed a small thermal exhaust port leading to the main reactor core. With the Death Star's defenses geared towards defending the station from a large-scale attack, the Rebels believed it would be possible for their starfighters to navigate down a narrow trench on the Death Star's surface, and fire a proton torpedo into the exhaust port, triggering a chain reaction that would destroy the station.
After leaving the planet, Theron flew under the call sign Red Ten during the Battle of Yavin IV. After arriving at the approaching battlestation, the Rebels initiated strafing runs in the area around the trench. He flew with Garven Dreis and Puck Naeco to take their opportunity to destroy the Death Star and save the Rebellion from its near destruction. When Darth Vader and two of his TIE pilots arrived and shot down Puck first, Theron did as much to provide cover for Garven as they were getting close to the exhaust port. As he couldn't hold them for long, Theron was shot down by one of Vader's Imperial TIE pilots. His astromech droid onboard Red Ten was R2-X2.
