Escaping Skystrike AcademyEdit
Before joining the Rebel Alliance, Wedge enrolled himself in Skystrike Academy and took the codename "TIE SS25". His early job was to see if he could recruit other cadets to abandon their loyalty from the tyrannical Empire and side with the Rebellion to restore peace. With the help of Sabine Wren, Wedge ventured to Atollon where he was greeted by Commander Jun Sato, who gave him a warm and honorable welcome to the Rebellion.
Now aligned with the Rebel Alliance, Wedge's experience as a pilot and mechanic made him a valuable asset to the military resistance. Serving as a gunrunner, Wedge joined the Rebel Air Force, a branch that put out an open call for numerous pilots that had joined the Rebellion. Eventually, Wedge was going an patrol where he came across a secret Imperial Research Facility where prototype TIE models were been tested. He managed to report his discovery to the Alliance Command, and a lone Y-Wing pilot was sent to obliterate a shipment of prototypes as they were being unloaded in a major coup.
Battle of KaminoEdit
A year later, Wedge flew a Y-Wing in a squadron and participated in a battle over the planet Kamino, the planet responsible for developing the clones of the Jango Fett genotype before the Clone Wars. Led by Rodian Commander Yat-De Viedas and General Rahm Kota, a Jedi who avoided Order 66, Wedge's mission was to serve in a ground assault on a number of Imperial cloning facilities and have them destroyed to weaken the Empire's motives.
